We want to give you an explosive social life that kicks off with an exciting, fun packed, unforgettable first week, that’s why we’ve organised a Welcome Week for new students. You’ll have no time to get bored or miss home.

During your first 7 days at Bangor we’ll help you settle in to university life by showing you the ropes, introducing your Peer Guide and tutors and blowing you away with entertainment such as live music, quiz nights, fancy dress and drinks promotions.

 

Welcome Week only lasts 7 days put we promise you it’ll be a week you’ll never forget.

What happens in Welcome Week?

  • No lectures or seminars for the week
  • You’ll register for your course and choose your modules
  • You’ll meet your personal tutor
  • We’ll take over your diary by arranging a weird and wonderful variety of entertainment and social events
  • A two day Freshers’ Fair where you can sign up to join some of our clubs and societies
  • The University’s Peer Guides will be on hand to help you settle in and help you with anything from giving you a hand with carrying your stuff up to your room to being your partner in the three legged pub crawl at night
  • There will be something different to do every day from library tours to trips to the beach and plenty to put a smile on your face at night!
