Canolfan Bedwyr

Canolfan Bedwyr is a unique centre that provides a support and development service for the Welsh language within a multilingual environment.

This service is provided both for the internal needs of the University of Wales, Bangor in the shape of first-rate translation and language improvement services.

The Centre also has a broader role on a national and international level, supporting the Welsh language in the information age. With partners from such places as Ireland, the U.S. and Japan and including renowned institutions such as the BBC, Microsoft and Carnegie Mellon University we are developing language tools which will allow the Welsh language to break new ground.
