Bangor University and Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board
Bangor University has an excellent reputation for its health related teaching, training and research.
In addition to offering degrees at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, we offer short courses for healthcare and allied professionals as well as carrying out a wide range of groundbreaking medical research.
The University has formal links with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – one of the largest health service providers in Europe – enabling an integrated approach to developing research, training, medical and healthcare education to serve the needs of the people of North Wales and beyond.
Our College of Health and Behavioural Sciences has over 3,000 students and boasts a very strong research and teaching ethos that translates into excellent courses.
However our health-related teaching and research isn’t confined to one College alone. We have world-leading research taking place in numerous other areas – for example:
Our teaching is informed by world-class collaborative research. This means that students have the opportunity to study with academics that are at the cutting edge of their academic disciplines – for example in areas such as elite sports performance, nurse training or fMRI brain imaging.
