Vicky, 21 from Hertfordshire is a third year BSc Ecology student.
"I wanted to be near both the sea and a National Park. I came to Bangor for an interview and then again on an Open Day and just fell in love with the place.
"My favourite part of the course is the practicals and field trips. Bangor is well sited for fieldwork because it’s so close to a variety of habitats. I especially enjoy the opportunity of working at Treborth Botanical Gardens, It gives me good fieldwork experience."

Robert Ward - Zoology
Robert Ward, 20 from Chessington in Surrey is studying Zoology.
"I heard about Bangor from searching for Zoology courses, specifically those that had an element for Herpetology. I chose to study here firstly for the course, and its good focus on Herpetology, and secondly for the surroundings. What can be better than having mountains, the sea and great pubs?
"The best thing about the course is probably the field trips, and the amount of experience that can be gained from some of the lecturers."
