There is a well-established and vibrant community of creative writers at Bangor University and postgraduate studies form an integral part of the activities of this discipline. We offer taught MA courses and research-based MPhil and PhD programmes. Our creative writers (who are also practising academics on the Bangor staff) work in the Schools of Creative Studies and Media, English, and Welsh: they are all listed below. If you wish to enquire about a postgraduate project which you have in mind, you are encouraged warmly to contact any one of them. However, if you have a subject area that you wish to explore at postgraduate level, why not type in keywords into the search engine at the bottom of this page and discover which members of staff share your interests?
Details of the courses available for the courses in the School of Creative Studies and Media (MA, MPhil and PhD), School of English (MA, MPhil or PhD) and the School of Welsh (MA, MPhil, PhD) are available or you may prefer to use the box below to search the pages of our site which are concerned with creative writing. An example might be 'screenplay', 'short story' or 'gender'.
