UCAS/School Open Days

When?

Once you've applied through the UCAS system, the School of Chemistry will contact you when we've received your UCAS form. We will invite you to attend an Open Day. Travel expenses up to £50 will be available to help cover the cost of your visit.

What goes on?

We hold a number of School /UCAS Open Days at the School of Chemistry.

A typical School/UCAS Open Day at Bangor includes the following:

  • Arrival 11:15am (tea/coffee and welcome)
  • Departmental tour including teaching and research facilities
  • Lunch (buffet provided)
  • Address by Head of Department
  • Individual student interview (parents/friends - coffee)
  • Tour of Bangor (including accommodation) and the local area to give you an idea of what student life would be like here
  • Coffee/tea and General Discussion
  • Finish around 4pm

University Open Days

If you're thinking of coming to study with us and want to know more about the University before you apply, why not attend one of our University Open Days in June and October where you will also get to meet current staff and students at the School of Chemistry.
