Web Accessibility at Bangor University
Bangor University Disability Statement
It is the declared aim of Bangor University to take all possible practicable steps to enable full participation by disabled students in all aspects of University life.(http://www.bangor.ac.uk/ar/main/ssc/welfare.htm#Statement )
As an institution we are working to make the information we provide on the web accessible to all. We aim to provide a text only version of all our web pages and to make our graphical pages accessible to all online visitors.
We are currently in the process of migrating much of our content into a more accessible format.
- We are currently working across our web presence to ensure that we comply with all of the level 1 (A) and as far as possible level 2 (AA) accessibility checkpoints of the W3C's Website Accessibility Initiative ((WAI) Guidelines as interpreted by the University's Web Team. Should you encounter any difficulties relating to the level of accessibility of certain pages, please do not hesitate to report the problem to email@example.com, or using our feedback form.
- All pages on this site aim to validate as XHTML 1.0 Transitional, and use CSS 2.1 for visual presentation. Use of tables for non-tabular information is kept to a minimum. This may cause older browsers (e.g. Netscape 4.x) which do not understand standards-compliant code to display pages in a very basic, but usable way. We recommend you upgrade your browser to the latest version to take full advantage of this site's advanced presentational features.
- All pages on this site should be using structured semantic markup, and where they are not we are aiming to ensure they shortly do.
