At undergraduate level the School of Creative Studies and Media specializes in six key areas: Creative Studies, Film, Journalism, Media and New Media, Theatre and Writing.
Research and knowledge transfer activity at the School of Creative Studies and Media activities extend beyond this to all areas of the Creative Industries, especially television and radio, professional writing, journalism, film and video, music, theatre, the software and computer game industries.
Studying for an undergraduate degree in the School is a rich and stimulating activity. The emphasis here is on creative exploration and critical understanding. The School provides more than skills-training, thus aiming to ensure its graduates have the capacity to become national and international leaders in their fields.
At postgraduate level the School of Creative Studies and Media offers a range of Masters Courses, including those focusing on Media Studies, Creative Writing, Journalism, Media and/or Film Practice, Film Studies, Theatre and Theatre Practice.
PhD research study is available in Media Studies, Creative Writing, Journalism, Media and/or Film Practice, Film Studies, Theatre and Theatre Practice, and in Creative Industries development areas.
