School of Healthcare Sciences
The School of Nursing, Midwifery & Health Studies has changed its name to reflect its ever increasing, multi-professional education and training provision, which benefits patient care in hospitals and nursing homes across North Wales, and will be known as the School of Healthcare Sciences.
It is the largest and most successful School of its kind in North Wales.
The School’s change in direction also coincides with a major reorganisation of the University’s academic activities which will be re-grouped as 6 new Colleges. The School of Healthcare Sciences will be part of the College of Health and Behavioural Sciences, together with the School of Psychology and the School of Sports Health and Exercise Sciences, plus the Institute for Medical and Social Care Research.
The Head of the School of Healthcare Sciences, Mr Ruhi Behi, said: ‘This is an exciting time in the School’s development, and we plan to continue improving patient care through relevant professional education and research’
