Maps & Compasses for Senior Support Staff

The aim of the programme will be to provide you with a greater understanding of the key strategies and systems in the University and enable you to develop your skills and knowledge of the University.  However, an important aspect of this programme is to provide a forum for staff from different Colleges and Departments to meet to share experiences and ideas.

Who should attend?

This programme has been developed for Senior Support grades 5 & 6.

The 2011/12 programme is as follows :

Managing Time and Working Effectively in Teams

21 October  - 2.00pm - 4.00pm - D0:08, Management Centre

Provide you with the opportunity at the start of the academic year, to examine how you manage your time and how to work to best effect in your team.

Legal and Contractual Update

08 November - 2.00pm - 4.00pm - Terrace Conference Room 3

A practical insight to legal and contractual administration issues in the University.

Thinking Positively

To examine the benefits of positive thinking and develop action points to develop resilience in the workplace.

Cross Cultural Working

With an increasing international student population at Bangor the aimof this session is to examine the impact of these developments and share effective working practices.
