Bangor is ranked amongst the top 4 University cities in the UK in terms of cost of living (accommodation, food etc).  Leading newspaper The Independent placed Bangor amongst the most cost effective locations for students in their Student Living Index Guide for 2008.

We are aware that your accommodation is incredibly important to you; as a result, the University Halls Office employs highly trained staff who are happy to help students with their accommodation needs. 

On campus Accommodation is currently on high demand and students are advised to submit Accommodation Applicaitons as soon as they become available. 

All international students starting in Bangor University for the first time will be guaranteed on campus accommodation provided that you apply before the deadline (31 July). Limited family accommodation is also available.

School of Ocean Science Postgraduate students

Most postgraudate students studying Ocean Sciences find accommodation by renting rooms in shared houses in Menai Bridge, on the Isle of Anglesey, (not Bangor). Try local estate agents, local newspapers or you can search for a property by vieiwing the Student Housing Office webpages
