In addition to the academic qualifications detailed below, students must meet the English Language Requirements

Foundation Courses 
The equivalent of 5 GCES’s (Grade C and above) to include Maths and English. 

Undergraduate Courses
Students with good grades in their Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate (Kotogakko Sotsugyo Shomeisho) AND who have completed a recognised Foundation Course.
Because of the wide range of Associate degrees and other Training/ Vocational certificates available, each application will be viewed on an individual basis. 

Postgraduate Courses
Students who have a good Bachelor degree (Gakushi) from a recognised institution in Japan. 
OR Students with a good Postgraduate Diploma / Master's degree (Shushi) from a recognised institution in Japan.

PhD

Requires a Masters degree as well as a Bachelor degree.

Mature students (age 25+)

Students who are 25 years or older on the date of registration may be eligible for entry under the mature student regulations. This regulation does not require a bachelor degree. The applicants must however have held a position of responsibility relevant to the proposed course of study for a minimum period of 2 years prior to commencing the course. This rule does NOT apply for applicants for PhD studies, and entrants MUST have a taught postgraduate degree.

English Language Requirements
An IELTS score of 6.0 is required for undergraduate and postgraduate courses (4.5 or 5.0 for Foundation courses).
