Entry requirements
Foundation Courses
The equivalent of 5 GCES’s (Grade C and above) to include Maths and English.
Undergraduate Courses
Students who have completed the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) with 6 subjects passed in one sitting including 4 A grades or B grades and including a grade B in English can be considered directly for year one entry.
Students with good grades in their University Matriculation Examination (Senior Secondary School Certificate / West African Senior School Certificate) AND who have completed a recognised Foundation Course.
OR Students who have a Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC) / Advanced National Commercial Certificate (ANCC)
OR Students who have a (Ordinary) National Diploma (OND/ND), Post-Secondary Certificate, Medical-related Diploma or Higher National Diploma
English Language Requirements (Undergraduate)
In addition to the academic qualifications detailed above, students must meet the English Language Requirements
Postgraduate Courses
Students with a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in Nigeria
OR Students with a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in the UK
OR Students with a Masters degree from a recognised institution in Nigeria
English Language Requirements (Postgraduate)
Generally, the applicant would not be expected to provide an English Language test result (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL), however, where a higher English Language proficiency is required for entry, the School/Department may request the applicant to take an IELTS or TOEFL test as extra evidence to support their English Language ability.
PhD
Requires a Masters degree as well as a bachelor degree from a recognised institution.
Mature students (age 25+)
Students who are 25 years or older on the date of registration may be eligible for entry under the mature student regulations. This regulation does not require a bachelor degree. The applicants must however have held a position of responsibility relevant to the proposed course of study for a minimum period of 2 years prior to commencing the course. This rule does NOT apply for applicants for PhD studies, and entrants MUST have a taught postgraduate degree.
