The IT Services e-Learning team provides consultancy, support and development services to University teachers and trainers who wish to make more use or learning technologies within their courses.

The e-Learning team, working together with University teaching staff and other colleagues within IT Services, are the focal point for activities which concern the use of Blackboard, the University e-learning platform.

The team has worked with others to bring Blackboard into the mainstream of teaching and learning activitiy within the University and one of the central systems used by students, academics and support staff. The team has worked on integrating presentations containing both audio and video content into online courses, developing online question and test provisions (to simultaneously drive learning activity and reduce marking workloads) and use of online discussion forums in supporting the development of learners understanding.
