The University Email System

 

You can access you Email from any computer using your standard username and password. Your username in general will act as your email address E.g edu000@bangor.ac.uk.

You can access your email from any computer with Internet access anywhere in the world.

The programs provided by the University for accessing Email are:

 

Program name Usage and availability
Thunderbird Available on all PC's connected to the Bangor network. Your account using Thunderbird will be configured automatically ready for you to use.
Webmail Recommended for use off campus on public access PC's E.g. PC's in library's or Cybercafes.  Also available from home, alternatively you can configure your own mail client.

Roundcube

For all the migrated users, this is the webmail replacement.

It is recommended that all members of the University check their email accounts on a regular basis as it is used as a method of communicating important information.
