Facilities for students

Our aim is to provide the very best facilities for you. We offer:

  • Over 1000 computers for student use - Some PC rooms are open 24 hours a day
  • Over 1,000 rooms in halls with fast internet access; bring your own computer, and ask for 'ResNet' access when you apply for a place in halls.
  • Network access in all open-access PC clusters in other university accommodation
  • Colour Printing in a range of sizes from normal A4 to poster size A0
  • Black and white laser printing from all computer rooms
  • Software on the Network - There is a wide range of software available for you on the University network including the Microsoft Office suite, Graphical, Web authoring, DTP and Statistical packages and also a large number of utilities
  • File Storage for every student. You will be allocated disk space for file storage on the University network
