Wireless Service

Introduction

In early 2006 IT Services started to roll-out its wireless service for University staff and students.

The following wireless networks are available across the campus.

DiogelBangorSecure

DiogelBangorSecure is an encrypted network. It uses a technology called 802.1x to provide a secure connection. You are asked to sign in before connecting to the network. Most users should be using this network for the safest connection.

Eduroam

Eduroam is a global network of academic institutions. It allows guests from other participating sites to use their home credentials to connect to the Eduroam network at Bangor. It also allows Bangor staff and students to visit other Eduroam enabled sites and connect using their Bangor usernames and passwords.
