Ceri Evans has worked extensively with SMEs over the years out of Cardiff Business School and most recently Bangor University. He was one of the authors of the WAG “Barriers to Procurement Opportunity” (2009) report which identified the pre-qualification barriers SME suppliers face in Welsh Public Sector Procurement. The impact of this report is now being felt throughout the Welsh public sector and in SME supplier engagement in public procurement.
He played a pivotal role within the four year international research project, EPROC, which focused on helping SMEs and procurers to understand Public Sector E-Procurement developments. Ceri has an excellent track record in winning public sector tenders and research grants and worked alongside Professor Cahill to lead the bid for funding for the €3.7M “Winning in Tendering” project. He has presented at a number of international conferences and is a Graduate Diploma Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. Ceri’s main research interest is SME interaction in public sector procurement.
