Finding Bangor

Bangor is close to the fast North Wales Expressway (A55) linking into the UK and European motorway networks. As long as you are the passenger you can also enjoy some wonderful scenery with views of the mountains and the sea passing the Great Orme at LLandudno, Conway Harbour, and the islands of Anglesey.

By Road

In most cases, the fastest route to Bangor is the A55 expressway along the North Wales coast.

By Boat

Ferries from Ireland: visit irishferries.com and stenaline.com

By Air

Bangor is only 90 minutes by car from Manchester International Airport. If you are arriving at Manchester Airport, there are bus and rail links to Bangor (journey time about 3 hours) running hourly approximately on the hour. Please check the National Rail web site for details. The single fare is approximately £27, saver return fare approximately £30 (but check website for restrictions at peak periods).

By Train
