Lifelong Learning Fine Art Summer Shows 2010

Five graduating students premier a wide range of work from the part-time
BA (hons) Fine Art degree at the College of Education and Lifelong Learning,
Bangor University. Sustainable individual creativity and the ethos of practice-led
instruction over six years study by five dedicated new practitioners is displayed
in Oriel Bangor.
The exhibition of Sue Buswell, Irene Carruthers, Sue Evans,
Jerry Green and Rita Higgins’ work will be held at the Gwynedd
Museum and Art Gallery, Bangor between 19th June and 3rd July which
is open Tuesday to Friday 12.30 – 4.30 pm and Saturday 10.30 – 4.30 pm.
The BA (Hons) Fine Art programme in Lifelong Learning is unique in Wales
and the United Kingdom and was recently Highly Commended at National Level
by The Universities Association for Lifelong Learning.
The Fine Art Diploma Show will be held at the Ucheldre
Centre, Holyhead between
5th – 12th June where Students completing the Higher Education Diploma in
Fine Art from Bangor and Penrhyndeudraeth present a diverse selection of work
using traditional and new media in this fifth diploma show. John Lloyd, Peter
Reid, Debbie Roberts, Reyna Rushton, Kathleen Steele and Rob Stephen have
completed four years part time study on the challenging and intensive Fine
Art degree programme and have achieved a significant milestone in their individual
practice. The Ucheldre Centre is open daily 10 am – 5pm, Sundays 2 – 5 pm.
Members of the public are warmly welcomed and encouraged to visit the exhibitions.
