Maes Glas Indoor Facilities

Facilities in Maesglas include the following:

Main Sports Hall

6 Badminton Courts, 2 Volleyball Courts, 1 full size Basketball Courts (2 1/2 hall basketball courts), 1 Netball Court, 1 Indoor Hockey, 1 Five-a-side Court. There is also provision for Table Tennis and indoor cricket. This hall has a sprung floor and a balcony is available for spectators.

New Sports Hall

4 Badminton Courts, 1 Volleyball Court, 1 Netball Court, 1 Basketball and Five a side Court.  Provision for Indoor Bowls, Indoor Cricket and Trampolining. A balcony is available for spectators.

Weights Room

With a great view of the Mountains and more than £100,000 worth of new equipment Maesglas offers you fitness training second to none. Maesglas now has two fitness rooms for weights and cardio-vascular training. The weights room has a large selection of the latest Powersport and Precor equipment including 2 multigyms, functional training machine, dyno strength machine, 3 treadmills, 6 bikes, 3 steppers, 2 cross trainers, 4 concept 2 rowers. There is also a large free weights section. The room has air conditioning and large screen MTV

Cardio Vascular Room

The CV Room has a large selection of equipment including rowers, cycles and steppers. The room has air conditioning and large screen MTV. 8 Treadmills, 5 Concept 2 Rowers, 2 recumberant bikes, 6 upright bikes, 8 cross trainers and 2 pieces of resistance machines.

Squash Courts

The Sports Centre has four squash courts, one of which has a glass back wall with a seated viewing gallery.  We are very proud to announce that the squash courts are now up to International standard, after undergoing extensive refurbishment over summer 2008.

Climbing Wall

A Livingstone wall. 10 Top Ropes give access to over 30 routes from 'DIFF' to 7C, on panelled walls from off vertical to super steep. Well featured bouldering wall provides endless scope for problems of all difficulty above crash mats.

Multi Purpose Gymnastics Hall

Maes Glas has a purpose built gymnasium, with sprung floor and foam pits. It is an ideal training area for the sport with equipment of a high standard.
