Schattenklavier receives world premiere | |
| Andrew Lewis's new work Schattenklavier ('Shadow-Piano') for piano and computer received its world premiere at the Bangor New Music Festival. Montréal based pianist Xenia Pestova perfomed the work along with pieces by Hans Tutschku and Rob Godman. The work is a series of variations on a fragment from the piano part of Stockhausen's seminal orchestral work Gruppen (1955-1957), and is intentned as a memorial for the composer who died in December 2007. | |||
