The role of the Research and Innovation Office (RIO) is to support research activity across the University. 

We support the University’s mission to increase and disseminate knowledge through the highest quality research and aim to ensure that the University maximises its involvement in all relevant research programmes in the UK and abroad.

We are able to offer advice and guidance in all aspects of securing UK, European and international funding.  This includes identifying funding opportunities, training and developing research staff, and assistance with project planning and costings.  When needed, support can include project approval, contracts, funder compliance and risk management.
