Dr
Hindle was appointed Senior Clinical Lecturer in Care of the Elderly,
to the School of Medical Sciences, in 2009. He has also held an honorary
appointment as Senior Lecturer in Bangor University’s School of Psychology,
since 1998. His training includes Medicine, Psychiatry, Geriatrics,
and Neurology in St Mary’s Hospital (London), Hull Royal Infirmary,
Royal Bethlehem and Maudsley Hospital (London) and St George Hospital
(London).
He was appointed by the NHS in 1990 as Consultant Physician in General
Medicine and Medicine for the Elderly, (specialist interest movement
disorders), Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Llandudno General
Hospital. He leads a service for the acute care and rehabilitation of
elderly people across a large geographical area in North Wales. He also
leads a service for movement disorders for North West Wales and tertiary
referrals from mid Wales and is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in
Liverpool University’s Department of Psychiatry.
