Simon Cottee - Overview

Simon Cottee joined the School in January 2003. Simon was educated at Cambridge University, the LSE and Keele University, where he took a PhD in criminology. His areas of specialization include the sociology of crime and deviance, the sociology of intellectuals, terrorism and apostasy. In 2006, Simon lectured on the Masters Programme in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of the West Indies, in Trinidad. He is currently working on an ESRC-funded study of Islamic apostasy. He is a member of the editorial board of Studies in Conflict and Terrorism.
