School of Philosophy and Religion
The School of Philosophy and Religion located at the centre of an imposing University campus, is an innovative and expanding School reflecting the expertise and commitment to teaching and research excellence of its staff. The School has developed out of a longstanding tradition of teaching and research in these subject areas within the University since the 19th century, and you will find here a friendly and informal atmosphere that will help you to cultivate the skills of debate and independent thinking.
The School warmly welcomes applications from students to read for the undergraduate degrees of BA Single (Hons) and BA Joint (honors) with another subject taken within another school. We also welcome graduates of both British and overseas universities to read for the degrees of PhD, MPhil, MARes, MTh and MRes.
In these pages you will find detailed descriptions of the courses we have to offer, along with information about activities, past, present and forthcoming. Please feel free to contact the School if you require any further information.
A warm welcome, from Dr. Eryl Davies, Head of School.
