Start-Up Bursaries

Start-up bursaries of £1000 are available for those entering the university from care. The start-up bursaries are intended to cover course related costs such as books, equipment, travel and study aids. These are one-off, non-repayable bursaries which will be paid in the first year only.

To be eligible for any of the bursaries offered by Bangor you must complete your Local Authority's assessment form - this is the method used to assess eligibility for student loans, maintenance grants etc, and your eligibility for any of the bursaries will be assessed on the basis of the same form.
