In addition to the cost of your tuition fees, you will need to consider the additional expense of accommodation and living costs.

Bangor is one of the cheapest University cities in the UK, and accommodation costs are usually between £50-£90 per week, depending on the type of accommodation you prefer. There are a number of options; from individual rooms in privately owned houses to self-contained flats and apartments, private-sector halls of residence, and University-owned halls of residence on our expanding Ffriddoedd Site.

‘Living cost’ refers to the essential expenses besides your tuition fees and accommodation: food and drink, books and study materials, clothes and utilities, and entertainment.

Both these costs vary according to individual requirements and lifestyle choices, but we usually recommend that students should budget between £6,000 and £7,000 for accommodation and living expenses for the year.
