Sports Scholarships

The University supports students with sporting ability by offering a number of Sports Scholarships for students studying for any degree.

Maesglas bursaries allow free access to the training rooms in the Maesglas Sports Centre, and a major University award, the Llew Rees Memorial Prize, is awarded annually to the most successful sportsperson in the University.

Olivia OrchardWinner of the Llew Rees Memorial Prize 2009/10

The prize was awarded to Olivia Orchart, the Bangor University student who has made the greatest contribution to raising the profile of Bangor University sport by her personal achievement at the national or international level and has also contributed and participated in competitions representing the University as an individual or as a team member.
