Recent events have included performances by big acts such as Feeder, Rizzle Kicks, Mr Scruff, Mr Hudson, Tinie Tempah and Pendulum..
The Students’ Union also provides much of the night-time entertainment. A brand new Students’ Union nightclub, Academi, opened in September 2011. As well as a nightclub, Academi also houses two bars, a café and shop.
The Students’ Union also organises one of the biggest nights of the year, the annual Summer Ball, when the entertainment and end-of-year celebrations continue well into the next day.....
But the Union isn’t just a place to let your hair down and be merry – it’s also a place where you can share your problems with our trained student welfare team. The Students Services Centre can offer help and guidance with matters such as study support, money advice, health and wellbeing, disabilities and faith. The Union also gives our students a voice; students are elected annually to manage the Union and represent the student body within the University and nationally.
