Student Services celebrate quality accreditation
The University’s Student Services has received national recognition for the advice and guidance that it offers you, the student. Student Services were recently successful in achieving the Matrix Standard, which is a unique UK quality standard for information, advice and guidance services.
To achieve the Matrix Standard, Student Services undertook a two-day interview-based assessment which, along with written evidence, was assessed across four elements: Leadership and Management; Resources; Service Delivery and Continuous Quality Improvement.
Maria Lorenzini, Director of Student Services, said:
“We’re delighted to have reached this external quality standard. It provides evidence of the commitment to continuous service improvement across Student Services as a whole, and is part of our on-going process of ensuring that our services are of high quality and appropriate to the needs of our diverse student body.
“The assessor especially commended Student Services for its strength in providing a wide range of integrated services underpinned by effective referrals and supportive cross-service working.
“Congratulations to all the staff at Students Services, and many thanks to the students and staff who participated in the assessment process.”
