Peer Guiding and Voluntary work
Each year over 1500 students at Bangor take part in various voluntary schemes including several school-based schemes. These are an excellent way to develop sought-after skills as well as having fun and contributing to the local community.
We also run a Peer Guide Scheme where second and third year students are trained to support new students when they arrive at Bangor.
Virtual Careers Service
Some times students don’t have time to come and see one of our trained careers advisers so we’ve created a ‘virtual careers service’ that offer 24 hour access to career and employment advice through the University’s computer network. It also carries on-line modules and links to worldwide employment and work experience opportunities.
