Research on identities, minority cultures and languages and on the complex nature of a multicultural and post-devolutionary Britain is currently attracting considerable attention. Wales is and always has been a country rich in music, language and history. Research on Wales has never been more topical. It has never been more important to understand the Welsh past, to find ways of building a future - to show how Wales can go forward in a world where globalization provides major new challenges.

Academics at Bangor are active participants in debates about the past, the present and the future. We are naturally keen to show that what happens in Wales has an international academic relevance. However, we also want to provide a public service, to bring information to all kinds of people and to help develop the policies that Wales needs to be successful.

We hope you find what you are looking for.
