Funding for Placements and Projects

By working with Bangor University it is possible to access funding to support placements and projects in order to undertake collaborative research, transfer know-how and solve business problems.

Below is a list of some of the programmes available however please feel free to contact us to discuss your individual requirements further.


Academia 4 Business provides business with access to specialist facilities and through undertaking collaborative research in order to translate and commercialise academic knowledge and expertise

ATM (Access to Masters) are ESF supported taught Master courses in collaboration with businesses. The courses include a 1-2 month project placement in the collaborating company - a low cost way for businesses to access postgraduate expertise and develop links with the University.

KESS (Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships) supports collaborative research projects (Research Masters and PhD) with external business partners.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) facilitatate the transfer of academic knowledge and expertise to real life business projects in order to improve performance and profitability. KTP can run from 3-36 months and involve appointing a newly qualified graduate to deliver the project.
Strategic Insight Programme (SIP) provides weeklong staff placements to develop relationships, understand capabilities and scope collaborative projects. Open to the private, public and third sector.
