We want to make sure that every second language student benefits as much as possible from their course within the School of Welsh.
That's why we usually advise our second language students to study a bridging year after completing the first year and before starting on the second year.
The bridging year gives you the oppotunity to fully concentrate on your Welsh studies and strengthen your grip on the language as you practice your writing and oral skills.
This 'extra year' will give you a confidence boost before you re-join the mainstreme lectures in the Second and Third years.
As our classes will be fairly small, we will be able to keep in mind the challenges that face our second language courses, when assessing their work.
