Tim Haines

Tim Haines qualified from Bangor University with a BSc in Applied Zoology in 1982. He became a scientific journalist, first on newspapers, then for the BBC World Service and Radio 4. He joined the Nature programme at the BBC TV Natural History Unit, moving to BBC TV Science in 1988. He produced a number of worthy programmes for the series Horizon , including the trilogy Ice Mummies.

Tim Haines sprung to fame as series producer of the worldwide TV classic Walking with Dinosaurs with groundbreaking computer graphics. The cutting edge programme portrayed the most accurate portrayal of prehistoric animals ever seen on the screen.

He was awarded an honorary fellowship by Bangor University in 2002.
