Bangor University Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Networking Day
- Terras Conference Room 3
- Thursday 27 July 2017, 10:00–11:30
- Saskia Pagella
- 01248 382600
The £1.5 billion GCRF fund is of strategic importance to Bangor University, and the Research Councils UK will be launching a second GCRF Collective Fund call in late summer 2017.
This networking event will provide an opportunity to identify the wide-range of academics already working in Official Development Assistance (ODA) nations and/or conducting research that delivers advancement in line with the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development - and for some cross-College interdisciplinary engagement.
The main aims of the event are:
1) Engage with GCRF project PIs, panel members and researchers in this field with a morning session of talks and posters
2) Run an all-day mapping exercise to identify the nature of existing international research and development networks thatBangor staff have (staff can just drop-in to do this)
3) To gain a better idea of the interdisciplinary opportunities we might have internally in relation to global challenges focussed research, ahead of the next GCRF calls
Please contact Saskia Pagella if you would like to exhibit a poster, or provide a synopsis of your research and international networks ahead of the day (particularly if you are unable to attend)
