The Impact Task Group in Bangor University along with the ESRC Impact Acceleration Award project team have organised a day of speakers exploring how researchers can effectively engage with policy and decision-makers. Providing evidence and expertise to inform the policies and decisions of those at the heart of governance in society, is one way researchers can generate significant impact from their research. While they day is primarily focused on policy in Wales and the UK, there will also be speakers with extensive experience of working with international policy and decision-makers.

Every effort has been made to make the day relevant for researchers from all disciplines and stages of their career. The primary objectives of this workshop are to share the experiences of engaging with policy and decision-makers both from the perspectives of academics but also from the policy and decision-makers themselves. In terms of impact, informing policy is a clear pathway to enabling change in society based on your research and expertise.
