Unshackling Insurance Warranty from the Common Law System: A Panacea for Deepening Insurance Penetration in Nigeria

Warranty is a fundamental term in an insurance policy. The research investigates the Nigerian Marine Insurance Act of 1961 in contrast to the British Marine Insurance Act of 1906. Using a comparative law methodology with Nigeria to other common law jurisdictions: New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, the principal researcher presents his interim findings.
