Towards a Manifesto of Place
Come along to this unique outdoor workshop exploring the complex history and human impact on the environment surrounding the Menai Strait.
Following an introduction, participants will be invited to take part in a short, guided meditation, focussed on the local surroundings, and will then be invited to explore and respond to the local environment through a range of visual arts activities, led by artists from local art collective 'Utopias Bach(Opens in new window)'. The group will then come together to share their own connections with the area and to contribute to 'A Manifesto of Place'.
This event will be delivered in Welsh and English. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available. All ages are welcome to attend, though this event has not been specifically tailored to suit young children. Please note that this event is due to take place outdoors. Suitable clothing and footwear are advised.
This event complements 'A Manifesto of Inter-Species Kindness' taking place on 19 November.
Prepare
Even if the weather is terrible, we will be spending a bit of time outdoors. Please bring appropriate clothing, ie waterproofs etc. If you wish to meander off the paths/roads (not compulsory!), there are lawns and muddy areas so bring appropriate footwear.
Be prepared to stay outdoors in one spot for 20 minutes. You may wish to have a chair or something to sit on.
