Experience
Nicholas is the Academic Director at BUIC. He joined the College in 2018 having previously worked at a high-profile independent college in London as the Assistant Registrar and Director of Studies as well as teacher of Film Studies and Media Studies. Before moving into teaching, he was an Examinations Officer at the University of London. Nicholas has a BA in Film Studies, Media Studies and Video Production from Buckinghamshire New University and an MA in History of Film and Visual Media from Birkbeck - University of London. In addition to his work at BUIC, Nicholas is an examiner for the IB Film Studies and GCSE Media Studies and is looking forward to starting his PhD in Film Education in the coming year.
Interests
Having recently arrived in North Wales, Nicholas is looking forward to exploring the beaches and mountains with his family. Unsurprisingly, given that he is a teacher of film, Nicholas enjoys slipping away to the cinema to see the latest blockbuster whenever his two young sons allow him to.
One thing he likes about BUIC
The close-knit nature of the College means that you will always know the best person to speak to about your studies.
