Anyone using Welsh at work who wants to develop their use of computing resources in order to work more accurately and more efficiently through the medium of Welsh.
Content
- A practical introduction to the entire range of electronic lexical and terminological resources available to facilitate the use of Welsh.
- A practical introduction to the proofing tools available to facilitate the use of Welsh.
- An overview of the latest developments in computer resources for the Welsh language (e.g. machine translation, speech technology).
- A series of exercises to ensure effective and relevant use of the available resources.
Tutor
During over 25 years of teaching in the HE sector, Dr Llion Jones (Director of Canolfan Bedwyr) has developed a number of pioneering courses through the medium of Welsh in the areas of IT and New Media. He also has vast experience of teaching language skills courses, with a particular emphasis on developing the use of Welsh in the context of various media.
