About the Careers and Employability Service
In line with Bangor's international reputation for excellence, the Careers and Employability Service is committed to enhancing the employability of our students and graduates. Thus ensuring that they gain the best possible return on the investment they make in their own personal and academic development. This, however, is an aim that can only be achieved if we are working as closely and effectively with recruiters and employers as possible.
To this end, we are committed to developing and nurturing strong and sustainable links with national and regional employers and business related agencies. We have also ensured that our services to the business community provide support for the widest range of requirements, from meeting the recruitment needs of national graduate recruiters to supporting micro-SMEs to grow and flourish through subsidised project placements.
We also recognise that all employers benefit from being able to access highly skilled and business-aware students and graduates and we have developed a range of skills development programmes that work to address this critical issue.
We are also aware of the role that we play in supporting national and regional economic strategies. We are delighted to be one of the few University Careers Services to be centrally involved within their institutions in the development and management of student entrepreneurship and enterprise. In fact, our B-Enterprising Entrepreneurship Programme has been awarded funding from the Wales Assembly Government to deliver its national Knowledge Exploitation Fund activities.
As a Centre we are proud of the wide range of services and resources we have developed to meet the needs of the business community and are delighted to be recognised as one of the most active University Careers Services in the UK by the Guardian in their Good University Guide.
