The Business School gained free access to the Financial Times for all its students.

The School of Modern Languages have arranged Skype meetings with personal tutors for all year-abroad students.

The School of Music changed its feedback form so that 50% of it requires staff to suggest ways of achieving a higher mark

The School of Law has created more work placements and developed a Law Fair, bringing 39 employers onto campus.

The School of History, Welsh History and Archaeology has opened a Student Lounge with IT resources.

As a result of student feedback… the School of Biological Sciences is pioneering the peer adjustment of group marks to make group working fairer.

The School of Ocean Sciences has produced standard forms that appear on Blackboard for every assessment to give students clear information about deadlines, expected feedback dates and learning outcomes.

SENRGy has introduced two submission times per week to stop students submitting several pieces of work on the same day

The School of Psychology post assignment distributions onto Blackboard to let students know where they stand within the class.

The School of Computer Science provides a clearer marking criteria of each assignment based on a new template.

The School of Electronic Engineering has changed the names of the second year mathematics and analogue electronics modules to better reflect the module content.

The School of Social Sciences developed weekly Academic and Student-led study skills drop-in sessions.

The School of Linguistics and English Language put copies of good dissertations from previous years onto Blackboard.

The School of English Literature offers one-to-one oral feedback on all assessed work.

The School of Education has reviewed and reduced teaching practice workload (PGCE Secondary).

The School of Creative Studies and Media has opened its editing suite until midnight in term-time.

The School of Lifelong Learning has developed an employer network and organises visits to potential workplaces.

The School of Philosophy and Religion is organising more staff-student social events.

The University is delighted to announce the success of the Bangor University Continuing Professional Development Framework, which has this month received its accreditation from the Higher Education Academy.

Dr Charles Buckley of Bangor University has been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship, the most prestigious award for excellence in higher education teaching and support for learning. This is the first time such an award has gone to staff at Bangor University.
