£1,500 Computer Science Bursary for September 2019
Our undergraduate students are very much at the heart of what Computer Science is all about, and we are keen to continue to grow in size and help more graduates go on to fulfilling and exciting engineering careers. As part of this growth, we’re offering a special £1,500 Computer Science Bursary for those who applied before the UCAS deadline to study on one of our undergraduate courses* in September 2019.
Full terms and conditions for the £1,500 Computer Science Bursary for 2019 entry are set out below:
To be eligible for the £1,500 Computer Science Bursary, you must
- Be a new, first year UK/EU student applying for an eligible* full-time undergraduate course within Computer Science for September 2019.
- Have applied for an eligible course within Computer Science by the UCAS deadline of January 15, 2019.
- Have chosen an eligible course within Computer Science at Bangor as your ‘Firm’ choice through UCAS by June 8, 2019 at the latest.
- Be accepted onto an eligible course within Computer Science for September 2019.
* The only course NOT eligible for a Computer Science Bursary is the BSc Creative Technologies course.
To receive the £1,500 Computer Science Bursary for 2019, you must
- Meet all of the above criteria.
- Register on an eligible* full-time undergraduate course within Computer Science for September 2019, and
- Continue with your studies on an eligible full-time undergraduate course within Computer Science during the 2019/20 academic year.
Please note:
- You do not have to apply for the Bursary – you will receive it automatically provided you meet the above criteria.
- The £1,500 Computer Science Bursary is payable in the first year only.
- Students awarded the £1,500 Computer Science Bursary are still eligible to receive any other relevant bursary payments, such as the means-tested Bangor bursary.
- The payment date for the Computer Science Bursary will be March 1, 2020; the bursary will be paid in one instalment.
- You must still be registered on and studying an eligible full-time undergraduate course within Computer Science to receive the bursary payment. Students who have discontinued their studies or changed to another course will not receive the bursary payment.
- Those who choose to defer entry till September 2019 will NOT be eligible to receive the £1,500 Computer Science Bursary for 2019 entry.
- The only course NOT eligible for a Computer Science Bursary is the BSc Creative Technologies course.
