The Chartered Banker MBA is a ground breaking new qualification which allows individuals to gain a top MBA in Banking as well as Chartered Banker status, awarded by the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Scotland.

This is the highest award available to bankers. Bangor Business School is the only institution in the UK which can offer this dual qualification.

Entry Requirements

Candidates are assessed on an individual basis. As an example, entry to the full programme would require a good first degree or possession of an approved professional qualification and practical experience. Candidates who do not have a formal degree or professional qualification, but who have several years of approved management experience will also be considered. Candidates may wish to submit their CV for assessment to confirm eligibility for a specific route.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years practical experience at a relevant level

Applicants must have a high level of fluency in the English language. English Language requirements:

The English language tests we normally refer to are as follows;

  • IELTS: an overall score of 6.0 with no individual score of less than 5.5
  • TOEFL: 560 with a TWE (written score) of 4
  • Computer-based TOEFL: 220
  • The minimum requirement for IBT (Internet-based TOEFL) is 80 with no element below 16
