Overall aims and purpose
To module is intended to: 1) provide learners with a physiological framework for better understanding sports and exercise performance; 2) develop higher level subject specific and transferable skills; 3) prepare postgraduate students to meet the requirements of research, or employment outside of an academic / research environment

Important: Students who fail the module (overall module mark less than 50%) or miss module assessments, will be required to undertake a resit (mark capped art 50%) or first-sit assignment.

An objectivel review of a research area, covered by Dr Anthony Blanchfiled highlighting both its strengths and weaknesses. and applicability to Performance Physiology.
Overview: A literature driven overview of the chosen research area Limitations: A literature driven documentation of the current limitations surrounding this research area (in terms of knowledge and experimental design) Future directions: A literature driven section detailing the necessary future directions for this area Design: A brief insight into how you may go about designing an intervention to explore one of your proposed future directions

|GROUP PRESENTATION||Journal Club Presentation||
A group presentation on a recently published research article that is relevant to content covered by Dr Jonathan Moore or Dr Julian Owen.
Grade marking will focus on the following
