Successful applicants to the School of Music are invited to attend a UCAS Open Day, during which they have the opportunity to audition for a Performance Scholarship worth £400. Applicants are invited to perform a musical excerpt of 3-5 minutes' duration, which they feel is most appropriate to showcase their ability. Please note that applicants wishing to take modules in performance are usually expected to have achieved ABRSM Grade 8 (or equivalent) on their main instrument or voice. Some keyboard proficiency (such as Grade 5 or above in piano) is also desirable.

Please provide a copy of your music for the examiners, and another copy for the accompanist if you require piano accompaniment. Please let us know in advance if you will require any additional equipment, such as an amplifier or a CD player for a backing track.
