Dr McDermott Rees named runner-up of the Rene Cassin Thesis Prize

Every year, the International Institute of Human Rights awards the Rene Cassin Thesis Prize to the author of the best doctoral thesis in the field of human rights law completed anywhere in the world in the previous year. This year, they jury have decided to award the 'special mention' - i.e. 2nd prize - to Dr Yvonne McDermott Rees for her thesis entitled ‘The Right to a Fair Trial in International Criminal Law’. The special mention will be presented to Yvonne by president of the jury, Sir Nigel Rodley of Essex University, in Strasbourg in July.
