Understanding UK Visa obligations when supervising international students- session for PhD Supervisors
Session Aim
In a world of constantly changing visa and immigration rules, this course will explain how to support international PhD students, and why certain University procedures are necessary.
At the end of the course, Supervisors should have a greater understanding of the UKVI immigration rules and the resulting implications which directly impact students and the University. In particular, how the setting of certain dates can have a negative impact on a student’s finances and immigration status; and how a Supervisor can help to ensure that a student’s immigration status remains valid and therefore protect Bangor University’s Home Office sponsor licence.
